Picnic in the Park

Guess where I went today! Me, mommy, and daddy went to the park and had a picnic lunch. It was so much fun and the weather was just perfect! Mommy and daddy ate their lunch first while I checked out the park and all the fun stuff to look at. Daddy told me that when I got to be a little bit older that when we had picnic lunches that I could play on all those bright colored objects I saw. After they finished their lunch, I was definately ready for mine. Mommy packed me Applesauce and a milkshake. I had so much to look at out there that eating was hard to do. I wasn't concentrating... at least that is what mommy kept telling me! But it was hard to concentrate when daddy was making all kinds of crazy faces at me and walking around and around. I was way to busy keeping my eyes on him to concentrate on my applesauce! I managed to get it all down and then it was time for my milkshake. Mommy told daddy that he could feed me that since I wouldn't take my eyes off of him. She thought that maybe I would eat better if he were sitting in front of me giving me my food. It worked! I ate my milkshake with ease and then it was time for a good burp after my meal.... so guess who got to get me out of my seat and burp me.... DADDY!!!! He held me for the rest of our time at the park. His lunch break just flew by and before we knew it our picnic was over and it was time to head back home for my afternoon nap. However... I didn't make it home before my nap started!

Now... I'm awake and back home and I've found a new toy! Mommy says that this is a sign that I'm a true boy. Not sure what that means, but I do like to play with that thing with all those buttons. It is soooo colorful and really feels good to chew on. Mommy won't let me keep it in my mouth long. She always pulls it out of my mouth and says NO. So.... I replace it with my tumb and then she pulls that out of my mouth and says NO again. If you ask me... that is unfair!

I guess I need to say goodbye for now and get to work helping mommy get my stuff together for our weekend at the river. We are going to attempt to make the trip this weekend. I heard daddy say last night that if it rains we can all lay on the big bed together and watch TV all day. I think that sounds like great fun as long as I get to spend the day with mommy and daddy!
