| The perfect cake! |
Our celebration of Chad's birthday was kicked off just right. The kiddos planned a very special afternoon for their daddy. Chad and I enjoyed watching them having a blast and basking in the bliss of being parents of two wonderful, perfect, loving kids!!!! We started our celebration off with some special decorations around the house. Jorja loaned her "happy birthday" banner to her daddy for the day, and Alex had me go and buy the "perfect" cake as he called it and some gabloons (balloons in Alex language). Once Chad came in and was suprised, we all dressed up and headed to Kobe for a birthday dinner. Dinner was delicious : ) After that I thought we were headed to Yogurt Time, but Alex and Jorja had different plans. They both kept talking about something to do with a green ball and stick. After much discussion... we were headed to play put put at the falls. Needless to say, we had a blast!!!! We ended up the night at home eating cake and ice cream and watching Alex blow out the candles and open the presents! LOL!!! What a night!!!!! It was the perfect beginning to the birthday celebrations for Chad. Now we have two more to participate in and then we can start planning for next year :)
Today, Jorja is exactly 2 months old!!!! I CAN NOT believe it! She is growing way to fast. Time needs to slow down a little so that I can take it all in. She is just a perfect princess. We had finally got all her tummy issues worked out (we hope) and she is sleeping and eating a little better. She has gained another 2 pounds this month, but that is just an unofficial report. We haven't had her 2 month check up. We will be going next week for that. I'm trying to keep it a secret because I know there are "shots" awaiting at that appointment. Mommy is NOT looking forward to that! UGH!!!
So... the mile markers of life, you gotta love em' but they are just one more slap in the face to wake you up and remind you to live in the moment and take it all in. If not, you'll look back and think where has the time gone, and why was I not paying more attention?!?!? Enjoy the pictures of the b-day and my growing baby girl!
