This past Saturday was Jorja's baby shower. My sweet mom and sister's hosted the event and it was just beautiful and perfect. It was just a small shower of family members and a few special friends, but that didn't matter!!!! Jorja was showered with all kinds of beautiful and PINK frilly girl things. I enjoyed getting to visit with my family and friends while enjoying some cake. I know I wasn't supposed to be eating it, but I just couldn't resist. I have been so good with my diet and I made sure leading up to the day that I was extremely careful not to let my sugar levels get to high. I think I did well! When I checked my sugar after 2 hours, it was still at a good level. So I didn't do Jorja or myself any harm indulging in the sweetness of the cake.
Jorja got tons of clothes! She will be one of the best dressed when she arrives. She got everything from pretty-n-pink sleepers and blankets to frilly smocked church dresses. Oh yes, she even got a swim suit for this summer on the river or at the pool.
I don't know what I would do without my sweet family and friends. I am so blessed to have such special people in my life that surround me with prayer and their love. How did I get so lucky? Nevermind luck... I know in my heart is has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with God and his abundant blessings.
Thanks again to my mom and sisters for being there for me and making this special time even more special. I love you more than words could ever express.
