Today has been great! We got to hear our "Peanut's" heartbeat for the first time! I was concentrating so hard that I didn't even know I was listening to it!!! Hahahaha! Chad was the first to pick up on it and then I finally figured it out! The nurse said the rate was 180... that's pretty high! Chad and I are both soooo excited. They told me everything looked great and that I was doing just fine.
Not only was it fun to hear the heartbeat, but it was a great adventure to see Chad in an OBGYN room! He was too much fun and really got a kick out of all the "equiptment" (for those of you who watch Friends ... remember Ross when he went with Rachel to the Dr.??? That was Chad and I today)! He and the Dr. and nurses really got along well and they asked me to make sure I bring him back each month for more fun time with Chad! I guess I'm gonna have to step up my game to keep their attention on me and Peanut instead of my comedian of a husband! Hahaha!
Our next appointment is Aug. 13th! Seems so far away, but I'm sure the time will fly!

180 bpm????? Maybe a girl's in your future?!?!?! ;-) Isn't it awesome to hear the heartbeat for the first time? Makes it more real doesn't it - 'course, not that the nausea, cramps, sensitive sniffer and sleep troubles don't make it real either - ha! Anyhoo....glad to hear it's all going great! Hey! Congrats, isn't that just about the best sound ever! I know you all are so excited. It sounds like your having a girl! Let Russell know if your hair on your legs are growing more or less, craving salty or sweet. haha
