Happy Birthday to my big six year old Alex! We had a blast this year celebrating his birthday. He was all into it and loved every minute of the excitement that lead up to his birthday all the way through the big Rock-n-Roller Skate party! We started out waking up bright and early on the 24th of Jan. to the question... Mommy, am I SIX now?!?!? He was thrilled when the answer was finally, YES! Happy Birthday baby boy!!! He went straight into "Can I open my presents" mode and so that is just what we did. We did save some for later that afternoon after school and his birthday lunch at Airport Cafe (his choice).
Look at that smile! He was so excited, as were we! I've said every year that it was the BEST birthday ever for him.... but honestly... this year was awesome!Alex enjoyed school until lunch and then we took him out for his annual birthday lunch with me, Chad and Jorja. This year he picked to go to eat at Airport Cafe. He had wanted so bad to go try it. The airplane in front of the Cafe was the only reason! LOL
However, food was good and we enjoyed spending time together!
After his favorite home cooked meal for supper, Spaghetti, we enjoyed singing happy birthday and enjoying some ice cream cake to end the night. Again... a great day for him, but especially for me! I love that boy more than I could have ever imagined was possible!
Saturday, we woke up bright and early and headed to the Rock-n-Roller Skate party all for ALEX! We loaded up his Rock-n-rollerskates, decorations, cake, glow in the dark glasses, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and balloons and hit the road! Once there... we saw little of Alex! He was on the floor and having a rock-n-roller skate time! I did manage to slow him down and get some pictures with some of the special guest at his party!
