2 Weeks to Go.... Let's Dance!

We had 2 weeks to go and what did we do? We went tailgating and dancing at JSU for the Southerners/Ballerians reunion! We all had a great time. The day started early with practice and catching up with some of my precious friends. It was great to see my Ballerina girls along with many Southerners that I've not seen in a while. Being a part of this group was/is truly amazing! Dr. Bodiford, whether he realizes it or not, gave me the opportunity to take a part in something that changed my life. I will forever be thankful for his part in my life. 

After practice, it was tailgating time!!!! I was so excited to have soooo many of my family with us! We missed those that didn't make it, but there is always next year (hint, hint)!!!!!!

 After playing and eating, it was time to head to the game! We had great seats and enjoyed watching our Gamecocks play a GREAT game! Before half time, I headed over to meet up with the band/ballerinas and get ready for our show! Boy did I have a great time!!! I will NEVER get tired of standing in front of the Southerners and hearing them play Salvation is Created, Stars Fell, and Quilting Party! I have to fight back the tears every year when the instruments begin playing! I can feel it in my bones. At the end, huddling up and singing I'll fly Away.... no words to describe! It is an amazing feeling that will NEVER go away!

I'm already looking forward to next year! Jorja and Alex had a ball, which makes this momma SO proud! Jorja is still kicking like Mommy did on a daily basis! So sweet to watch her mocking what she saw me doing. That in itself is just AWESOME! So, here's to another great Southerners/Ballerina Reunion! Looking forward to 2014 and seeing everyone again! BLOW SOUTHERNERS!!!
