Mommy Time

Hey guys! It's me... Jana

Just wanted to get a word in myself about Alex and Chad!!! Alex is such a mess these days. We are having a ball with him. As you all know, he turned 1 year old on Jan. 24th! We will be having his big party this coming Saturday and Chad and I are so excited that we can hardly wait! For those of you that have been keeping up with us this past month - you know that Chad has hurt his back pretty badly! We went for his 2nd epidural yesterday and are praying that this one will be more effective than the first! Alex had his first spend the night party with MawMaw and PawPaw Williams without me! (Chad and I spent the night in B-ham so that we wouldn't have to drive so early!) To say the least, they all had a blast! Mom took some pictures and when I get them from her I'll post them for everyone to see! Of course I was worried about him, but mom and dad kept sending me pictures of him to assure me that he was doing just fine! He ate chicken fingers and a baked potate for supper and had yogurt and pineapple with choc. chips for dessert! Yes.... he's a true Williams/Brewer! He loves his food!!!
Back to Chad ..... He is definately better (on a pain level) than he was, but he is still taking pain meds and that is frustrating for him. He wants to be able to function without those meds! I can't blame him... they make him very sleepy and sluggish, and he hates that he is always "out of it" to say the least! We appreciate all the help that we have been getting from our parents/siblings. We (especially me) wouldn't have been able to get through it without their help! We also appreciate all the calls of support and prayers that have been said on our behalf! If it weren't for your prayers we wouldn't be making it at all! I believe God still preforms miracles everyday and I feel like he is working one in our lives as we speak!
Due to all the craziness around our house this past month, we still haven't gotten to make Alex's 12 month. Dr. appointment so I don't have all the "latest" statistics for you in that area, but we will have them tomorrow! We go see the Doc. tomorrow afternoon and so I'll be ready to share his progress with you all tomorrow. These are just some random things I thought you all would get a kick out of -

1. Alex now drinks out of a straw! Forget the sippy cups... he wants a "mans cup"!
2. He loves to dance around the house to music... if there isn't any music, he'll make his own!
3. Last time we were at the Dr. for treatment to a fever... he weighed in at 22lbs. 4 oz.
4.He loves to be chased around the room!
5.His favorite veggie is Green Beans... he would eat an entire pot if I let him!
6. He loves to play with the wheels on his toys... or his daddy's toys (4-wheeler, golf cart, mule, truck, etc...)
7. Playing with Austin, Tanner, and Reid are the highlight of his week!!!
8. When he's hungry.... he will spit is pacifier across the room when he sees his food! This makes me and Chad double over laughing!!! We still haven't caught it on tape though!!!
9. Riding in his car is something he must do every day before he will call it a day.
10. He now takes showers.... while in a tub of bathwater... he wants it all... water to splash in and water pouring down all around him!
11. My hairdryer is the most amazing thing he's ever seen! He will wake up to come and watch me dry my hair and have his "dried" and then go right back to the bed once I'm finished and sleep like he was never awakened!
12. Talking to his Aunt JuJu on the phone is a must lately! He'll walk around with the phone to his ear until I call her! No-one else will do... it must be JUJU! I've tried others... it didn't work!

Enough for now... gotta save some things for later!
Love you all!
Jana
