Fun in the Sun with the Wade's

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to make a pit stop and catch you all up on the fun I've been having! To start this month out just right, we took a trip down to Destin, Florida and spent some time with our favorite friends from South Alabama.
We packed up and headed south about 4:00p.m. on Friday night before Labor Day. Needles to say, everyone else must have also!!!! at 6:05 we were just getting to Alabaster and Mommy and Daddy were very restless.... not really... it was ME that was restless! I had already had all I could take of my wonderful cozy carseat! To make things even more interesting, it started to rain! Traffic, rain, and night time travel is NOT Daddy's favorite combination. I could tell he was flustered when he quit playing peek-a-boo in the mirror with me. Mommy and Daddy finally got the idea that I need to stretch my legs, so they pulled over in between rain showers and let me run. Boy did I do just that!!!! My legs were running before they hit the ground and Mommy was laughing and daddy was chasing me around and around the parking lot. Finally... I got tired of running and daddy let me play like I was driving. I had a blast pushing all the buttons and turing on and off the lights. Hey... did I mention that this all took place around 8:00pm just past Montgomery!!!! YES... it took forever to get to Destin!!! Finally around 10:30pm I had had all I could take. I called it a night, but not without a fuss here and there. About midnight, I woke up and we were pulling into the place we were staying. Mrs. Barbara was up and waiting on us. We played for a bit, but I was still ready to curl up in a bed so I didn't stay up long!
OH... forgot to mention that I was not feeling 100%! I had an awful runny nose and a very very bad cough.
The next day, we slept late and then got up to find Mrs. Barbara and Abby waiting on us! Our day was full of fun. We shopped, napped, swam, ate, touched alligators, and much more.
We ended our night with Pizza and football! It was Univeristy of Alabama's first game of the season. Abby and I wore our Alabama outfits and cheered our team on! OH.... had to mention that my cough wasn't getting any better and I was having a hard time breathing :(
Sunday came and we slept late again and then headed to the beach. Mommy and Daddy were making a big fuss over me not feeling so hot. But, I wasn't letting it slow me down!!! I was ready to go! Once we got on the beach, it was so packed that we couldn't find a spot to sit. We did manage to find a few ladies that were very friendly and talked about their trip down and how long it took them. They also couldn't believe how many folks were on the beach!! Needless to say, we didn't last long due to the people and me not feeling so good. After a good nap, we decided we would go get a bite to eat. It was fabulous! I loved my mac-n-cheese!!!!

MONDAY.... Mommy and Daddy were really worried about me and to be honest.... I just felt really bad! We went straight to the Dr. in Destin and found out that I had Asthmatic Bronchitis. I got a good breathing treatment and some other meds. and was feeling 50% better before I left the Dr. office. I was soooo glad, because Daddy's team was playing football later that night and I really wanted to be in a good mood. For our last night, we cooked out and watched FSU play their first game of the season. We all wore our FSU colors and cheered for Daddy's team.

We had such a wonderful time... I think I heard Mommy and Mrs. Barbara planning another trip for the future! I can't wait, because I sure do miss Abby!!!! She was tooo much fun!
